Smiling With Love Pediatric Dentistry

We recently switched to Smiling with Love Pediatric Dentistry and my son’s first visit was absolutely wonderful. He was very anxious going, even for a cleaning and check-up, and our hygienist was so sweet and gentle. She talked with him and really walked him through every detail of the appointment to help make him feel more comfortable the entire appointment. He met Dr. Arango and we loved him! Such a genuinely nice man and so gentle. My son was smiling when we left and said he is happy to be a member of this dental office. Hopefully with more regular visits, his anxiety will continue to ease. Thank you!!!!

A few years ago, my granddaughter had a distressing experience with a dentist, which made me hesitant to seek dental care for her until now. We were referred to Dr. Luis, and I must express that every individual we’ve encountered in his practice has been exceptionally professional and welcoming. The staff demonstrates a genuine affinity for working with children, combining a personable approach with a sense of entertainment to ease anxiety. During today's appointment, we addressed fillings, and Dr. Luis, along with his assistant, executed the procedures seamlessly. Their interactive approach involved discussing "sugar bugs" and the importance of eliminating them, which effectively diverted my granddaughter's attention from any fear associated with the treatment. I particularly value Dr. Luis's commitment to his clinical responsibilities and the high level of expertise he exhibits. A previous dentist had recommended general anesthesia for her fillings after subjecting her to a traumatizing experience. However, upon reviewing the x-rays and performing a clinical evaluation, Dr. Luis determined that her cavities were superficial enough that anesthesia was unnecessary. Instead, he safely used nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and the procedure proceeded without complications. One highlight for her was the red sugar-free popsicle she received at the end of her visit, which she had eagerly anticipated even before the appointment. If it were feasible for Dr. Luis to extend his practice to accommodate all children in the Hampton Roads area, I would wholeheartedly endorse his services to everyone in my network—and I have already begun to do so.
